". A Bulgarian National Bank Issue, it was released in, and is dated, 1951.
Because of an agreement between Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin, made at Yalta near the end of World War II,

in Bulgaria fell to the Russians and a communist
"Peoples Republic"
came into being in 1946. Communism lasted until 1990. Bulgaria joined NATO in 2004 and the European Union in 2007.

The Note:
A choice, crisp, example, this one never got used. However, due to its size it was stored incorrectly, probably in a holder that was too small for it, and the top edge is somewhat discolored. It has a few minor bends but no folds, tears or pinholes and is still nice. As grading is subjective please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
