The vintage 1951 / 200 Leva Banknote from Bulgaria is a beautiful piece of history. This note is in excellent condition, about uncirculated.
The Bulgarian National Bank issued Bulgarian Leva banknotes in 16 different denominations, including this 200 old Leva banknote Bulgaria (1951 issue). They are part of the withdrawn Bulgarian Old Leva banknotes series. The Bulgarian National Bank started issuing these 200 Bulgarian Leva banknotes in 1951. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1962.
The gray and blue colored banknote of 200 old Bulgarian Leva shows the portrait of the country’s first communist leader, G.D. Mikhaylov. On the back side of the 200 Note is a scene of farm workers harvesting tobacco.
