Doug's Space Helmet is clean with no cracks, scuffs or breaks - crystal clear amber visor works - opens/closes properly.
Includes correct red color Cat Trac as Mattel originally issued with Doug's carded set.  Fantastic MMM Doug Davis with Space Helmet & Red Lunar Trac for front-shelf display.

Doug is the second-rarest of the MMM figures, after Lt. Jeff Long, due to his 1968 release by Mattel -- 2 years after Maj. Matt first appeared in toy stores. From Mattel's "Man in Space" - Mattel Stock No. 6333.

Doug Davis first appeared in the Mattel Spring 1969 catalog, where Doug was described as "Space Scientist – Radiologist, Space researcher collects asteroid specimens, samples and minerals using the compact Lunar Trac, Each poseable 6" astronaut features plastiformed space helmets with moveable tinted visors.”
