200 CareTouch Flat Lancets - Fit Softclix

2 boxes of 100 ea - CareTouch flat lancets for 200 total - made to fit the Accu-Chek Softclix or Softclix Plus. Round twist off cap and same fit as the Softclix lancets. Triple beveled sharpened tip needles are designed to minimize skin trauma and discomfort, Gamma Sterilized for long shelf life, Latex-free.
I bought these as a less expensive alternative for using with my Softclix since I was paying for my INR testing out of pocket. The gauge is a bit finer than the original Softclix lancets so I used them on the 5.5 setting, but for me, these hurt less - for the INR strips a fairly large bead of blood is needed. Obviously everyone is different and my finger tips are a bit tough. I actually use the original lancets on 5 - 5.5 as well. I bought 3 packs not know if my my INR testing would be covered by the medicare plan C I just started. I recently learned my lancets are provided with my test strips so I no longer need these, I'll just use up the first box. The boxes show an exp date of Jan 2021 - however I am still using my 1st box without any problems - both boxes are sealed, kept cool and have been stored in a zip lock bag - I really got no idea what in the world could possibly expire since there is no coating,no fluids or medications - it is simply a plastic holder and a stainless steel needle. The needle is actually sealed in the plastic and not even exposed to air until the round cover is twisted off.
