Antique Bisque Mystery Doll 27" Marked "70" with German BJ Composition Body

Lovely  antique mystery doll. Probably German. Head Marked only : "70", but 70 has a horizontal slash through the 7 - such as found on S&H and a variety of other German doll makers.   Brown sleep eyes have a somewhat surprised look as right eye is set slightly farther back on the rocker mechanism. Molded brows are  multi-stroke . Painted grey lower lashes; remnants only of upper hair lashes. No visible damage to bisque such as cracks or hairlines.  Curly wig is a modern replacement. Dress appears to be copy of blue sprigged Jumeau dress, possibly a Doll Masters creation. Underwear, shoes, and socks are newer. "70" is apparently the size not the mold number as 70 cm converts to 27.5 inches. In addition, since there is no "Germany" incised as required by US tariff regulations, the doll may have been originally purchased overseas. The antique ball jointed body is in good condition - please review and expand the photos for best description. The hands may have been repainted. Stand is not included.
