    This historic Buck Rogers item is actually the first toy ray gun ever produced and is featured in the Smithsonian collection.
    The XZ-31 Rocket Pistol is a 9.5 inch (19 cm) toy gun that makes a distinctive spring driven bang. Produced for the 1934 Christmas season by Daisy Manufacturing Company US, constructed out of sturdy blued steel and originally retailing for 50 cents.
