    Description

You are bidding on a gallon limit sign. This sign came from a Chevron gas station. It would date from the 1970's. The first gas shortage was in 1973. The second was in 1979. I believe this would be from 1979 as I recall long lines and limits to how many gallons you could put in your vehicle. It comes with a pack of 12 two sided numbers. Some are blank. The numbers measure 3 inches by 4 and 5/8 inches. Two sided tape was applied to th sign and the numbers would stick to that. The sign measures 13 and 3/4 inches by 11 and 3/4 inches with a 1 and 1/2 inch flange. It was made by Couch and Phillips, Los Angeles. It is in good condition with some scuffs and scratches.
