Vintage Mattel 1968 Major Matt Mason Callisto Alien Action Figure

Seems like all of my action figures’ nemeses had gigantic, exposed brains.
Dr. Evil, who thwarted Captain Action’s every move, no matter which superhero he was dressed as? Ugly as hell, with a big red veined brain sticking out of the top of his blue skull.
This guy, Callisto? Could a regular sized cerebral cortex have come up with all his plans to destroy Major Matt Mason at every turn, or the firepower to invent that cool purple air laser string shooter deal? I think not.
So here’s Callisto, big grey…uh, green matter and all. His wires are still in good shape compared to most of his wire-frame brethren. The space suit does show some wear spots, but that’s typical for these toys as well.
I no longer have the deal that clipped on his shoulders to hold the purple string shooter, but it broke a long time ago, anyway. Bellows and clear tubing are in good shape with no holes or tears. The string shooter has some 'melting'
from storage which is typical of this age of toy. The yellow string just kind of flaps when the bellows is pushed...it doesn't retract.
