Vintage Modern Toys Lunar Space Explorer Vehicle w/ Remote - Japan 60's -70's

Vintage Modern Toys (Masudaya) battery operated remote control Space Explorer Moon or Mars Astronaut Rover or Transport vehicle made in Japan in the 1960's -1970's. Requires three (3) "D" batteries placed in the remote control box. (Batteries not included).
In used condition with scuffs and scratches. Forward and backward functions work fine as it goes forward and backward with lights blinking and and great motor sound. The alternate directions (turning right and left) displayed on the remote control box do not seem to react as well. All lights work. (Two flashing cab lights, green and red, with one engine light in middle). The displayed gears are working. No antenna present. The toy is constructed of a combination of some parts plastic and some parts tin metal. The clear top or cover has cracks in two corners and a small portion missing in one corner. Please refer to photos for more details. The control battery box is very clean. It measures approx. 8 3/8" long, 4 3/4" wide, and 4 1/4" tall. The battery box measures approx. 7 3/4" long. Very cool as well as unique space toy!
